Why We Built This Site
South Carolina gives the public broad access to many court and county records, but the route depends on the record. Abbeville County Circuit Court includes General Sessions criminal matters and Common Pleas civil matters, while Family Court, Probate Court, Magistrate Court, and Municipal Court each have separate roles. The Clerk of Court supports Circuit and Family Court records at the courthouse, Probate Court handles estates and marriage licenses at the Administrative Complex, and the Sheriff's Office handles law-enforcement records and detention contacts.
